for some strange reasons, a militaristic city state allied with him twice in the game. he probably fulfilled its quests like destroying barb camps which are near him, thus at a biased location.
it was a tough fight of capturing and defending a city at land choke. he had tech and gold advantage. since game cant be ended by renaissance era, i had little chance left. i made too many mistakes to secure a decisive victory. gg.
